Gabriele Parrino is a Ph.D student in Political Philosophy at the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa (supervisor Prof. Simona Forti). His doctoral project is focused on the configuration of Roman political thought within the theoretical framework of Hannah Arendt’s work. This relationship is based on a critical understanding of Arendt’s political ontology, through the reading of Claude Lefort, Sheldon Wolin and Jacques Rancière, in a way of relating a participatory and instituting conception of freedom, authority with democratic foundations and their political temporality.
