Paola Zilioli graduated in Philosophical Sciences at the University of Milan with a thesis on the aesthetic and political phenomenon of contemporary pornography, investigated through the theoretical tools of gender studies. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. in Philosophy and Humanities at the same university, and she is part of the Departmental Lab PIS – Performing Identities Studies. Her research proposes the dildo as the focus of a philosophical investigation on the processes of materialization of subjectivity, with particular attention to the relationship between sexuality, bodies and technologies.
