Decoloniality and Postcoloniality

For an intersectional critique of historical subjectivity

2022-2023 Seminar

The Feminist and Queer Philosophy Lab dedicates the first edition of its series of meetings to the critique of Western systems. Starting from a historical-philosophical analysis of some cornerstones of “Western thought” in the broadest sense, we will embark on a path of in-depth analysis and critique of its ideological, economic and socio-anthropological assumptions. To do this, we will adopt the methodology of the intersectional critique of Black feminism and the theories of Marxist feminism that shaped what we now call decolonial and postcolonial studies in the 20th century.
