FUEL – Feminist and Queer Philosophy Lab reports that Catherine Malabou, French philosopher and student of Jacques Derrida, will be a guest in Italy to present the Italian edition of her latest book Au voleur! Anarchisme et philosophie, to be published by elèuthera on 2 February 2024.
On 2 February in Milan, Catherine Malabou will be in dialogue with Salvo Vaccaro, professor of political philosophy at the University of Palermo, and Tomás Ibáñez, libertarian activist and theorist, former professor of social psychology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
By questioning the attitude of some of the greatest philosophers of the 20th century (Lévinas, Schürmann, Derrida, Foucault, Agamben, Rancière) towards anarchism and confronting the political crisis that contemporary societies are going through, Catherine Malabou takes up the challenge of bringing to light what has remained secret, the unspoken of philosophy towards anarchism, and at the same time compares today’s political anarchism with the rapid changes that, on the wave of a generalised uberisation of life, have invested the contemporary world in order to draw from it the conceptual resources necessary for the construction of the anarchism to come.
Event organised by Elèuthera in collaboration with Institut Français Milano and Centro Studi Libertari.
